

Beyond the entire Smith family, we pretty much just see fighting action and jokes. Rick and Morty's creators have been known to throw in quick asides or red herrings in the past, so we shouldn't take too much from this trailer. In fact, we see Summer having a duel with her former friend Tammy, who turned out to be a secret Federation agent. Summer plays a much bigger role in this trailer, as she did during the episodes of the first half-season. The end of season three, The Rickchurian Mortydate, saw the Smith family reunite against Rick after overcoming the divisions he had caused to pull them apart. One key episode, The Ricklantis Mixup, focused on the continuing saga of "Evil Morty", and his rise to power within the central Citadel of Ricks and Mortys throughout the Universe. Season three saw several episodes that continued stories that have spanned multiple seasons.
